AI & Machine Learning Bootcamp Student Project: Autonomous Driving Vehicles

By The Fullstack Academy Team

AI and Machine Learning Project Example Autonomous Driving Vehicles

Learning AI and machine learning through real-world projects is essential to solidify understanding and gain practical experience. In the University of Oklahoma Outreach AI & Machine Learning Bootcamp, the capstone project is integral to the curriculum, helping students apply what they’ve learned to solve complex problems.

AI & Machine Learning Project Idea: Autonomous Vehicle Accident Prevention

In the video below, AI & Machine Learning Bootcamp graduate Jason Delgado focused on autonomous driving vehicle accidents and object detection. He trained a machine learning model to identify objects within images, such as other vehicles or pedestrians. This involved feeding the model a vast dataset of labeled images, evaluating its performance in predicting object types, and refining the data to ensure its quality. Then, the trained model could be used to visualize data and forecasts related to autonomous vehicle accidents, to aid in making informed decisions.
