How the OU Outreach Data Analytics Bootcamp Works

The OU Outreach Data Analytics Bootcamp is designed for students to pursue high-quality tech education while continuing to balance work or other commitments. Our program provides you with the flexibility to fit career development into your life.

  • All bootcamp classes are instructor-led and taught 100% online.

  • Multiple class times are offered so you can choose which option works best with your schedule.

Part-time and full-time bootcamp programs are available.

  • All classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

    You can choose which class time works best for you in the application process.

    • 5:30pm-8:30pm CT

    • 7:30pm-10:30pm CT

  • All classes are held Monday-Friday.

    • 8:00am-3:00pm CT

  • The data analytics curriculum is broken down into four main areas: 1. Excel; 2. Presentations; 3. SQL; and 4. Python. From there, students work on learning the skills they need to pass two industry certifications (Tableau Desktop Specialist and AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty) and finish the program with a culminating project.   • Yes, the University of Oklahoma Outreach Data Analytics Bootcamp is beginner-friendly. It’s specifically designed for professionals who have no previous experience in data analytics. While some background knowledge is helpful, the only expectation is that students have general computer literacy skills in basics like efficiently using the internet/cloud and Windows.

  • Your time with our career success team will include everything from workshops to one-on-one office hours to phone chats before big interviews. And on top of all that, the team will be working behind the scenes to find openings that are right for you and staying up-to-date on the latest recruiting trends to make sure they prepare you for everything.

  • To be eligible for the program, you must be at least 18 years old and a high school grad/GED holder by the start date of your intended cohort.

  • Complete the application, take the assessment (60 minutes), and receive a decision. While taking the assessment, you may pause to save your progress and return at a later time. At any point in the process, you can also schedule a time to speak with one of our Student Advisors who can walk you through the process and answer your questions.

  • The admissions assessment for Data Analytics is a 60-minute, timed, logic-based exam that requires no preparation. However, if you’d like a refresher on logic-based questions, we’ve created this guide with tips for acing the assessment.
